Description
The original inspiration for this song came from the Shostakovitch Jazz Waltz heard in the beginning of the final Stanley Kubrick movie, Eyes Wide Shut. I’ve come up with a very different melody from that song but it has, in the beginning, the same emotional feel to that piece. Then it takes off and goes into very different and aggressive directions, which surprised me as I was writing it. Fans of Prog Rock will love this one. It Clocks in just under eight minutes and morphs many different times, but I put in overtime to make these changes as seamless as possible. This is only the second song I ever wrote and finished, but it seems to be a favorite among people who’ve heard it. You can hear clips of it on the music page..
